Hola a todos,

Me enviaron este email a mí hace un tiempo y aún no he podido 
responderlo ni ocuparme esto. Supongo que me escribieron a mí porque mi 
nombre aparece por ahí en algunas cosas que hemos traducido entre todos.

En último empujón que hice para conseguir traductores se anotó "malonfe" 
(Marta) y Carla Rodriguez. Estamos intentando coordinar con ellas la 
traducción de las Extensiones del Tutorial de Django Girls y mi idea es 
poder coordinar con la gente de Django Girls el resto de las 
traducciones (¡que es un desastre y por eso hicimos un fork nosotros!).

En fin, *siempre* necesito ayuda con la actualización del tutorial de 
Python (que por cierto, me emociona ver cuando alguien pega el link en 
el IRC) y *siempre* termino haciéndolo solo.

Esta gente que me escribió, parece que quiere traducir la documentación 
oficial y no solo el tutorial, lo cual a mi parecer... No creo que valga 
la pena, me parece mejor utilizar ese esfuerzo en tutoriales principalmente.

¿Te copás en dar una mano en donde te parezca?

I'm Julien, from the french translation, I don't know if anyone knows 
anyone here, but we're all translating the Python documentation in our 
native language. I hope I forgot no one but if you know other 
translators (even from your language, if they are interested to discuss 
this), feel free to make them join the conversation.

I'm pushing those days toward having docs.python.org/fr/ 
<http://docs.python.org/fr/>, I start slow by patching 
https://github.com/python/docsbuild-scripts step by step to make it more 
testable and readable, before "the big commit" pulling our work and 
building translations.

I think of you folks, and I'd like you to join the docs.python.org/{ 
<http://docs.python.org/{whatever>your_language}/, but to do this 
cleanly I think we should adopt a common way exposing our work. 
Typically a github repository, which we all have:

   - https://github.com/PyAr/tutorial/
   - https://github.com/afpy/python_doc_fr
   - https://github.com/python-doc-tw/python-doc-tw
   - https://github.com/python-doc-ja/py35-locale

But as you can see, non of us have the same file hierarchy. I propose we 
talk and converge to a common hierarchy to simplify the integration to 
docsbuild-script, what do you think?

I personally (obviously) like the hierarchy we adopted: 
``versions/*.po`` but I'll gladly hear you if you prefer yours and I'm 
sure we can converge to a nice representation.

Also I gladly take feedback about what other tools you use like 
transifex, and how well they synchronize with git. I personally tried 
Crowdin but have a lot of issues and finally didn't used it that much. I 
heard Python itself once used pootle during a GSoC, on pootle.python.org 
but it was unmaintained and finally dropped, I'm unaware of the volume 
of work disappeared here, anyone knows?
